And so my series titled "My Fashion Diary" continues. As I mentioned in my earlier post, last week was FASHION WEEK - my favourite time of year! And I had the pleasure of attending some of the shows - FRONT ROW ACCESS - and I will be providing highlights over the next few days of the FROW action!
DAVID TLALE
The KING OF SOUTH AFRICAN FASHION HIMSELF, David Tlale, revealed his first ever BRIDAL COLLECTION at Cape Town Fashion Week. The art gallery, GALLERY MOMO (situated in the artsy Bo-Kaap neighbourhood which is known for its brightly coloured homes and cobble stoned streets), provided the perfect backdrop for Tlale (who some have dubbed as "South Africa's own Lagerfeld") to showcase his creativity.
And creative he is. Tlale reminded us once again of why he is the TOP DESIGNER in South Africa. The man is a VISIONARY! His bridal collection was ANYTHING BUT CONVENTIONAL! Designed for the modern (chic) bride who wishes to defy tradition, Tlale's bridal collection was a fusion of bold (haute couture) designs making use of bronze and gold metallics!
All who know me will attest to the fact that I am unashamedly a David Tlale groupie :) So I feel truly blessed to have had FRONT ROW ACCESS to his show!

And of course his show was a STAR-STUDDED affair! There were quite a few celebrities who arrived to view his collection.
Siv Ngesi (the ever social butterfly) was there sitting FROW! I am always bumping into him at society events!
Medical Doctor, Businesswoman, Philanthropist, and Executive Chairperson of Africa Fashion International (AFI), wife of billionaire Patrice Motsepe, and one of my role models, Dr PRECIOUS MOLOI-MOTSEPE, was an absolute VISION in a green and black dress!
The MAN OF THE HOUR was bombarded with interviews post his show (as to be expected)
BUT, I managed to pry him away from photographers for a second in order to take a pic with him! Not my most flattering pic, but with David Tlale you only get one chance to take a pic with him. There are no do-overs! So I am willing to live with this pic :) Lol
