HELLO BLOGETTES!
As promised, here is my review of the MADEMOISELLE PRIVE' (CHANEL AND KARL LAGERFELD) EXHIBITION at the SAATCHI GALLERY!
I was definitely excited when I received the following email in my inbox last week:
The Mademoiselle' Prive' exhibition is described as:
"A journey through the origins of Chanel's creations capturing the charismatic personality and irreverent spirit of Mademoiselle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld"
Seeing as I'm a huge fan of ALL THINGS CHANEL (I am still praying to one day purchase my own quintessential vintage Chanel handbag in the near future), I was definitely intrigued!
The exhibition was absolutely MAGNIFICENT! It was as ELEGANT and SOPHISTICATED as the lady it is honouring.
Here are my favourite highlights from the exhibition:
If you have seen "COCO AVANT CHANEL" like I have (numerous times might I add AND I actually own the Dvd) you will recognise that the staircase is similar to the one she walks down towards the end of the movie
No Chanel exhibition would be complete without CHANEL NO 5 perfume!
And then we watched a mini movie depicting the conversation that Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel would have if she were alive today and they were to meet!
There you have it. No pictures can accurately capture the beauty of the pieces of this exhibition, so if you are in the London area I highly recommend that you make your way to SAATCHI GALLERY, KINGS ROAD LONDON to view the exhibition yourself.
The exhibition ends on the 1st November 2015 and the gallery is open weekdays from 10am - 6pm (Wednesdays until 10pm). The best part of all is the exhibition is FREE!
