OH HOW I LOVE LIVING IN LONDON!!
I don't think I say this enough but this city is MAGNIFICENT!! One of the MANY reasons for loving the city of London is that there are SO MANY EVENTS to participate in - some of which are FREE!! London reminds me a little of Cape Town in that you can never run out of things to do in both these cities!! There is ALWAYS something to do!! You can never get bored!
My 2016 started off in a SPECTACULAR manner as the LUMIERE FESTIVAL - the largest LIGHT FESTIVAL - hit the streets of London!!
The Lumiere Light Festival is produced by the company ARTICHOKE, and for four evenings in January (14-17 January 2016), the city of London was illuminated from 6:30 to 10:30 pm each night, and you can see iconic buildings transformed with 3D projections and extraordinary light works. It is spread across the following areas in London: KING'S CROSS, MAYFAIR, REGENT STREET AND ST JAMES, PICCADILLY, TRAFALGAR SQUARE AND WESTMINSTER!
I attended the Lumiere festival on the last day (Sunday 17 January 2016) and I was BEDAZZLED by the beauty of the light works. I managed to capture some of these displays (the best I could) in photographs.
