MADAME TUSSAUDS LONDON - A DAY WITH THE STARS

I received a visit from my best friend (who flew all the way from South Africa) over a week ago. Her visit was so special as I had the opportunity to spend quality time with her AND I got to be a London tourist for 10 days!!! When I was preparing for her visit and planning our itinerary, I had to THINK LIKE A TOURIST for the first time since I moved to London. I realised that since my move to London, I never got the opportunity to do any of the tourist activities. I had spent my time immersing myself into the London lifestyle - like regularly engaging in AFTERNOON TEA at FORTNUM & MASON (see my previous blog posts HERE & HERE),  attending society events such as POLO MATCHES (see my previous blog posts on THE CARTIER QUEENS CUP POLO FINAL 2016 , THE ARCHIE DAVID CUP POLO FINAL 2016) and Fashions Shows of designers like EDELINE LEE, MANUEL FACCHINI, STEVEN TAI (and many more) at LONDON FASHION WEEK, watching performances from a PRIVATE BOX at the ROYAL ALBERT HALL (see my previous blog post HERE) , and of course TRAVELING EUROPE (see my previous posts on my adventures in VIENNA, BARCELONA, & VENICE),  that I never got the chance to do much London sightseeing.

 

So when my best friend came to visit me in London, I did just that - London sightseeing. One of the activities that were high up in the itinerary was a visit to MADAME TUSSAUDS!

 

MADAME TUSSAUDS

 

Madame Tussauds is a wax museum in London (although it has branches in major cities all over the world including New York). The wax museum was founded by French wax sculptor MARIE TUSSAUD. Madame Tussauds is so popular as it displays waxworks of famous people. For just one day you get to "HANG OUT WITH THE STARS" - well at least the wax version of the stars. The sculptures are incredible and some of them are impressively lifelike.
