My favourite time of the year is HERE - FASHION WEEK!! And specifically LONDON FASHION WEEK!! It is that time of year in which every fashionista will give their last Louboutins to see some of London's most talented designers unveil their Spring/Summer 2017 collections. And I once again received invites to some of the shows and I will be giving you EXCLUSIVE ACCESS on my blog so keep following.
XIAO LI
I kicked off Day 1 of London Fashion Week by attending Xiao Li's presentation. Xiao Li is a Chinese born London designer who studied at the London College of Fashion (graduating with a BA in Fashion Womenswear) and thereafter completed an MA in Womens Knitwear at the Royal College of Art.
Xiao is best known for creating brightly coloured designs and oversized knitwear. However, Xiao's clothes are anything but shapeless or unflattering. In fact, she combines classic techniques with modern architectural structures which blends perfectly to create edgy and innovative designs.
Xiao's designs have garnered much attention and some of her accolades include winning: 'Pitti Filati Feel the Yarn Competition', the Loro Piana Award for Best Knitwear Collection, and the International Support Diesel Award.
She has also been featured in British Vogue where her designs were branded as "marshmallow chic" and after viewing her SS17 collection I can see why. Xiao is super talented.
