MY ADVENTURES IN PARIS (Part 1) - EXPLORING THE STREETS OF PARIS

HELLO BLOGGETTES!!

As you all know, I was in PARIS, FRANCE for PARIS FASHION WEEK (see my previous blog post HERE ) early October. Whilst in Paris, I had the opportunity to do some SIGHTSEEING! Over the next few blog posts I will be sharing some of my favourite travel moments in Paris.

PARIS, FRANCE

Paris is the capital city of France. It is a major European city known for ART, FASHION, GASTRONOMY & CULTURE. Paris is filled with so many MUSEUMS & CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS that a weekend visit is just not enough! Included in its many museums is two of its most visited ART MUSEUMS - THE LOUVRE & MUSEE D'ORSAY - which I had the greatest opportunity to visit (blog post on the Louvre to follow) - known for its collection of French impressionist art.

Paris is OFFICIALLY MY FAVOURITE CITY IN THE WORLD! It is so RICH in BEAUTY, CULTURE & FASHION! It is a city I will definitely be visiting over and over again and I do not see myself tiring of it. Since I was in Paris for Fashion Week specifically, I did not get see as much of Paris as I would have liked (which is great as it gives me a perfect excuse to return to Paris very soon). My adventures were only limited to the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Arrondissements - with my hotel being very centrally located in the 7th Arr which meant I could walk to all the major attractions. And boy did I WALK! Paris has a really efficient bus system (avoid the metro if you can, it can get SO COMPLICATED & CROWDED) but since I was so centrally located I decided to walk. And personally, I think Paris is one of those cities which are actually BEST EXPLORED ON FOOT! You discover so many side streets, cafes, shops and meet amazing people while doing so. I personally found the French, and particularly Parisians, VERY FRIENDLY during my visit - which was surprising as I have heard the opposite from many fellow travellers. Even though I was armed with a map I still got lost so many times but the French were SUPER HELPFUL - even with the language barrier as I am clearly not anywhere near to being fluent in French and most of the Parisians I met did not speak much English but it did not deter them from trying their utmost to assist me with directions.

Here are some of my favourite highlights from my adventure in Paris:
